Summary of classroom rules / expectations:
Listen when others are talking, Follow direction, Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself, Show respect for school property, Do not disturb others, Work and play in a safe manner.
Consequences for choosing not to comply:
I give 2 verbal warnings then sticker taken from sticker chart then another sticker from sticker chart then Cool Down then call parent. If all of these do not work in that order then administration called. I write a smiley face or sad face in their star cards.
Summary of encouragement / reinforcement plan:
Verbal praises and stickers for sticker chart (one for behavior and one for “doing your best” on work) 10 stickers earned for the week to be able to cook on Fridays. Randomly, I let them cash in stickers for prizes.
Methods used to contact parents regarding behavior problems:
I call parents for appropriate and inappropriate behavior. All my parents have my cell number and have the opportunity to call me anytime if they have any concerns.
